On behalf of all of us at PALE Mr Rudd we want to thank you for putting your foot in it by appointing a Minister of Ag who knows nothing about the Industry.
It would seem you are a man of your word after all.
You did say at your pre election pitch you would phase out the cruel live animal trade and put the jobs back into Australia to value add.

It would seem however you have gone one better wiping the meat industry out of the country completlty over night.

With Respect Mr Prime Minister may we humbly request some of the rescue be given to the Premiers of each state to elimiate the risk of bird flue in Australia. Also intensive piggerys. You can do that by prodiving humane treatment. Oh, and could you please pass a law to stop the birds being throw in the fire ALIVE and then dropped into boiling water still ALIVE and screaming in pain and fear. Its enough to turn you off your KFC.

Thank You Mr Kevin Rudd Prime Minister of Australia

You've just written that with KFC product, the animals are thrown into the fire ALIVE, and are then dropped into boiling water still ALIVE.

Prove it!

TZ52HX,
don't hold your breath waiting for proof. Pale is apparently of the impression the feathers are burned off to start with, and it's all downhill from there. Fortunately pale has very good in-house lawyers to fend off such frivolous libel cases.

pale has for a change got a very good point about risk management associated with the importation of diseases into Australia, scrutiny is not a bad thing. One wonders what can be achieved merely by having FMD within Australian borders, however if it is about creating vaccines in case of real oubreak and not having to rely on foreign supply of vaccine then doing so has my support.

Posted by TZ52HX,

No, no Nicky You have shot yourself in the foot again. In your hast to rush in to put the boot into pale it seems you have overlooked something called the law.
I said
*Its enough to turn you off your KFC.* Prime Minister

Now you have wrongly accused our organisation of saying PALE said KFC toss their birds in fires while still alive- and they often come out screaming in pain only to be tosed in boiling water still alive.

Speaking of hot water- you sure do have a way of getting into it.

I guess we will be seeking your Id next. Still wont be any surprises there.

*That would leave the proposal to be made privately to the panel or during a series of meetings, or suggested individually by the panel above those consulted, but there has been no confirmation of any of those options.*

Your support is noted

Seemed a perfectly reasonable reading of the sentence to me, PALE&IF.

>>please pass a law to stop the birds being throw in the fire ALIVE and then dropped into boiling water still ALIVE and screaming in pain and fear. Its enough to turn you off your KFC.<<

If you were not intending the reader to assume you meant KFC, why mention them?

In order to be "put off" our meal, you ask us to envisage the chicken being burnt and boiled alive. Or more accurately, "still ALIVE and screaming in pain and fear"

I'm with TZ52HX on this one, not just because the nick sounds like a sneeze. You really ought to substantiate your accusation.
