Dear Mr Springborg,
On behalf of the many disillusioned rural voters of Qld, I direct the following questions to you in an effort to help us formulate a direction in which to apply our vote in the forthcoming Queensland State Elections:

1) In view of the parlous condition of the roads and highways outside the metropolitan areas, will you and your government ( if elected) implement immediate steps to upgrade these long neglected areas of concern?

2) Will you and your government bring closure to the ongoing proposed obscenity of the Traveston Crossing Dam, thus allowing the many affected constituents the opportunity to proceed with the future planning of their lives and businesses?

3)Will you and your government take immediate steps to address in regard to the problems facing constituentsin regard to the grossly overloaded and failing Queensland Health Care system, both Medical and Dental?

4)Will you and your government as soon as possible implement policies designed to deter further incoming interstate migration until our infrastructure can adequately cope with the extra burden placed upon it?

5)Will you and your government give the constituents of Queensland the right to decide for themselves by way of a public poll, whether they will be "forced" to consume Fluoridated and/or recycled sewerage water?

6)Will you and your government address the ongoing disparity in the State`s fuel pricing structure, in a genuine effort to bring fairness and equality to all constituents, regardless of area of tenure?
(to be continued)

Joh has looked very honest compared with the last 4 or 5 Queensland Governments. He also did more good for the State than all of them put together. He was more interested in getting things done than pandering to the pathetic media. Corruption has multiplied since electing corrupt Labour politicians. On top of this they have managed to send Queensland broke. Like other States, voters have reaped what they have sown. You now have a totally inadequate road system, not enough water despite nearly as much rain as they had in Noah's time, more crime than ever before. For a land blessed by so many natural resources you would not believe successive State Governments could of stuffed up so badly.

Don't hold your breath cuphandle.

Even if, by some miricle the LNP get in, and I for one hope they do, it will be with such a small minority that even deciding what brand of coffee will be used in the lunchroom will be like pulling teeth when it comes to having a majority ruling.

We are in for a hard time if we win and a hard time if we loose.

Getting bills passed into laws will be tough.

Labour has taken the high ground on what is popular. If Mr Springborg and the conservatives choose to do what is right and do it right the electrate will soon learn the diference between right and popular. You reap what you sow and if you continue to reward the problem it must lead to an ever downward spiral in every area. Good government begins with you not with more laws. This present generation is being taught that you can plant apples and reap pawpaws. Shift benchmarks and not be lost.
Lnp has one choice & chance only if they muck it up Heaven help Qld for no one else will. I had hoped Obama may have some answers but he has chosen to take the popular route.

Open Letter to Mr Lawrence Springborg (Continued):

7) Will you and your government endeavour to address the problems faced by rural constituents who are faced with having to travel long distances, over very poor road conditions, in an effort to gain satisfactory medical attention which is not available in their area of residence, at the same time having to pay exactly the same MVR fees and grossly inflated fuel prices in contrast to urban dwellers?

8) Will you and your government discourage the stock standard response of:"You choose to live where you live!" from a large majority of government employees and business management, whenever a rural constituent has occasion to lodge a complaint to them regarding sub-standard service and/or goods and produce?

9) Will you and your government investigate and try to rectify the very unsatisfactory situation that has been created throughout Queensland by the implementation of Beattie`s "forced" Shire Amalgamation process, which has placed unnecessary burden, increased cost as well as much reduced, or in some cases total loss of services upon the affected constituents and administative hardship for some of these Councils?

I am fully aware that the final answers ( if any ) to these questions could be dependent upon the Cabinet discussions, Parliamentary process and voting procedures in accordance with the Westminster system of governance, however it is anticipated that some form of response should be forthcoming in order to provide some semblance of honesty and integrity to ALL the constituents of the State of Queensland, who have so many times in the past been made many promises of reform and expenditure on deserving projects, many of which are vital to the well-being of the State infrastructure, only to see these promises broken by past and present governments after their election to office!

We cannot, nor do we want to all live in the metropolitan areas and we expect some genuine consideration for the inadequacies that we are subjected to as rural constituents!
Yours Sincerely, ( a very, very concerned citizen! )
