This Post is related to the one by Jane Rankin Read re the military in Pakistan.
Why/how?
No one ever mentions or dares to question the monstrously huge elephant in the room and its stranglehold on every aspect of USA so called "culture".
The military-industrial-entertainment complex. Which provides or manufactures via 24 hour wall to wall proganda the consensus "reality"
within which the "normals" "lived" in the Matrix trilogy.

And of course the stern fathers are adamantly opposed to anyone smoking marijuana or taking "ecstasy" tablets at dance parties---and thereby dancing through the deadly facade of the normal dreadful "sanity"---even if only for a few hours. And even if there are well known health risks.

Red pill or blue pill?

don't despair, hh, the ruddster is on the case. he'll reason with them, and lead them to the path of peace and justice. that's why he didn't sever diplomatic relations with usa, like blair, he's going to work up close, very close.
