I welcome Kevin and Julia to the leadership! It sure lifts the
standard of political debate over Kim and friends. Lets face it,
him and Simon are from a past political era, the world has moved
on, it seems they never noticed.

Where I think they are already making a mistake, is in their
first annoucements. The way I read Kevin, he blames all
of Johnnie's so called evils on the philosophies of Hayek.

I'll agree to disagree on that one. Based on what they do, not
what they say, both parties are essentially social democrats,
even if Kevin would like to pretend otherwise and create a
division, based on the Hayek philosophies.

Getting rid of all AWAs is one of their first announcements, a
big mistake IMHO. Perhaps this is more about political dogma
then anything else, but it certainly is not good policy.

Its pointless trying to stereotype all workers into little boxes.
There are all types out there, not all have families, many are
more then happy to reach their own flexible solutions, to suit
themselves and employers in win-win situations. So why get rid
of them?

IMHO its fine if the Govt interferes, if people are being abused
or misused, but just for the sake of political dogma, it makes
no sense to me.

Kevin should be smart enough to understand that, I'm surprised that
he doesent, or more likely, at present he happens to need a political
barrow to push, so bugger what individual workers think...
