Another load of bollocks as usual.

Galen. “bollocks”? Is it the ‘negotiations’ that are “bollocks” or the veracity/accuracy of Mr. Singers ‘information’ regarding persons involved, the sequence of events, the veracity of reporting on media statement etc. or his observations/opinions/conclusions regarding this information? OLO is not ‘twitter’, you are allowed enough words to respond intelligently to any essay posted here. I suppose holding up a three word placard at a protest rally is a bit of a stretch for some.

An interesting article. David is right in implying that Trump has neither the negotiating skills, nor the patience, to further a two state solution.

Trump may not be up to the task, but in the longer run US money talks. Jordan, Egypt, but also Israel, want even more US money to keep on the negotiating path.

You state:

"David is right in implying that Trump has neither the negotiating skills, nor the patience, to further a two state solution."

I never implied this. On what basis do you claim I did?

Trump will not be doing any negotiating on his plan. That will be done by Israel, Jordan and possibly Egypt - if they ever get to the negotiating table.

Expected better from you.

Netanyahu does not share that special relationship that Trump and Russia's Putin have, but its close.

http://www.upi.com/Netanyahu-uses-image-of-Trump-in-re-election-campaign-ads/9101549295283/ reports February 4, 2019:

"An Ultra-Orthodox Jew walks past a campaign billboard Monday showing U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu shaking hands..."

"Feb. 4 (UPI) -- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is using an image of he and President Donald Trump in his bid for re-election, with large billboards in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem."

"Trump wants to show his base that he continues to enjoy Netanyahu's approval which is important because the Israeli Prime Minister is revered in the American political right."

"After [Trump gave a] speech to the United Nations General Assembly in 2017, Netanyahu said it was one of the greatest talks he's ever heard.

"In over 30 years in my experience with the U.N., I never heard a bolder or more courageous speech," he tweeted afterward.

Trump has repeatedly cited Israel's use of a wall in the West Bank as reason to build one along the U.S.-Mexico border.

"...[Like Trump] Netanyahu also is under investigation by Israel's Justice Ministry and three former close aides -- Ari Harow, Shlomo Filber and Nir Hefetz -- have alleged fraud, bribery and breach of trust against the prime minister..."

COMMENT

Trump and Netanyahu are special.
