Migrant caravan: branding migrants 'human shields' has a deadly motive : Comments

By Neve Gordon and Nicola Perugini, published 22/11/2018

The use of military vocabulary - 'invasion', 'divisions', 'insurgency', 'offensive' and 'human shields' - to describe such migrants is, of course, calculated.

Another pointless discussion about the symptoms of a problem without addressing the cause but a convenient soapbox opportunity.

It will be interesting to see what happens when the first refugee is shot at the border by one of the $210million troop deployment or when the first children are put into cages.

Maybe Trump will have come up with a Final Solution by then - a pity the last attempt failed, otherwise he'd have something to work with to keep his supporters happy.

It's time to pull down the torch from Statue of Liberty and give the lady an AR-15 M16 automatic rifle.

Billionaire investor George Soros has repeatedly denied rumors that he is helping to finance the migrant caravans making their way up from Honduras and Guatemala through Mexico with the ultimate aim of reaching the US.

But that's about to change, as the "Open Society" founder - who famously financed much of the opposition to Trump SCOTUS pick Brett Kavanaugh - is now partnering with Mastercard to hand out money (in the form of 'investment capital') to migrants, refugees and "others struggling within their communities worldwide," according to Reuters. Through their partnership, Soros is effectively providing open financial support for migrants and refugees seeking to enter the US and Europe.

The partnership between Soros and Mastercard, which they are calling Humanity Ventures, is the result of a pledge that Soros made in September to spend $500 million to address "the challenges facing migrants and refugees."

In a statement, Soros and Mastercard declared that government aid programs haven't been enough to solve the issues facing refugees, suggesting that this is a problem that only the private sector can solve.

"Migrants are often forced into lives of despair in their host communities because they cannot gain access to financial, healthcare and government services," Soros said.

"Our potential investment in this social enterprise, coupled with Mastercard’s ability to create products that serve vulnerable communities, can show how private capital can play a constructive role in solving social problems," he added.

This comes after Master Card back in 2016 admitted that it has handed out prepaid debit cards to migrants and refugees traveling through Europe, something the company did with the explicit blessing of the European Union and the UN High Commissioner for Refugees

Like most claims coming from the Trump camp the Soros boogy-man stories are typically misleading or completely false, this time claiming he's paying people to "storm the USA".

Terrorist Indian tribes invaded Spanish Christian land in Oklahoma. To protect the Church , 90% of Californian Indians faced firing squads. Women and children from Spain are scouts for holy genocide to complete the Indian Removal by invading from Mexico. The federally legislated displacement of the tribes from their homes east of the Mississippi River took place over several decades during the series of removals, which is also known as the Trail of Tears. The territory to which they were displaced was, at the time, called Indian Territory, currently eastern Oklahoma.

rache Interesting link but can it be trusted, too take snopes as the holy bible of what is true and what is fake.

It is common knowledge Soros is paying hundreds of millions of dollars to destabilize Governments worldwide.

This refugee caravan is a highly organized thing it did not suddenly start, the logistics supplying medical, food etc can not be done by just anyone easily.

Do you trust Facebook?

Can Snopes be trusted all the time? Just as can the daily mail?

What can't be disputed is someone has to be paying who? If it it is not Soros it is someone or possible one of his organizations.

rache you want people to trust the people in the following article, sorry I do not.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4042194/Facebook-fact-checker-arbitrate-fake-news-accused-defrauding-website-pay-prostitutes-staff-includes-escort-porn-star-Vice-Vixen-domme.html

Now a DailyMail.com investigation reveals that Snopes.com's founders, former husband and wife David and Barbara Mikkelson, are embroiled in a lengthy and bitter legal dispute in the wake of their divorce.

He has since remarried, to a former escort and porn actress who is one of the site's staff members.

They are accusing each other of financial impropriety, with Barbara claiming her ex-husband is guilty of 'embezzlement' and suggesting he is attempting a 'boondoggle' to change tax arrangements, while David claims she took millions from their joint accounts and bought property in Las Vegas.

The Mikkelsons founded the site in 1995. The couple had met in the early 1990s on a folklore-themed online message board, and married before setting up the site.

Profiles of the website disclose that for some time before it was set up, the couple had posed as 'The San Fernardo Valley Folklore Society', using its name on letterheads, even though it did not exist.

A profile for the Webby Awards published in October describes it as 'an entity dreamed up to help make the inquiries seem more legit'.
