When some 1717 claims were evaluated, close to 40% of those assessed by the Commonwealth were downgraded in one or several of the 12 segments of the claim.

Well, in this morning's news was Scott Morrison's commitment to a royal commision into aged care in nursing homes and as in-home care.

All well and good and able to be deferred until after the next election when he may have a hostile back bench to contend with? And if it ever gets up?

Why can't it also include the rorts, rip off and price gouging inherent in some for-profit retirement homes? Or does he think that hugely profitable (for profit) retirement homes are not part of age care? Or the problems inherent the for-profit industry.

And why are the taxpayers asked to support and subside any of this evil!?
