Utter baseness is a distinctive trait of Malthus - a baseness which can only he indulged in by a parson who sees human suffering as the punishment for sin.

Well perhaps from an economic point of view it is possible to squeeze many more people onto this planet, perhaps they can be well fed, well housed and even live longer.

But at what price!

The heavy price for having more people, which we already pay dearly for, is our freedom. The more the people, the more regimentation and technology is required in order to keep them from stepping on each other's toes.

Without freedom we still kind of live, biologically that is, but then such life has no purpose. If regimentation and technology force us to all live in the same way, use the same tools and have the same habits, then why not leave just one person on earth, why this replication?

Understandably, the communist author doesn't care for our freedom - they thrive on regimentation and technology, which they consider to be "progress". Even if he is economically correct (I am no economist so I cannot tell), the life-style that he promotes is hell on earth.

For some, like the human plague flooding out of the Middle East and Africa, life already is close to "hell on Earth".
Population IS THE PROBLEM.....
There are no others.

50 Million displaced by climate change drought are eking out a bare existence in very basic conditions and on bare essentials! And selfishly want to live in a house sleep on beds between clean sheets they don' have to share with all the resident wildlife!

Why can't these selfish people, just make do, as advised by resident Ateday?

Yes, we can accommodate more people, but not in our already overcrowded cities, and we are rapidly approaching a situation where we will need to be a net importer of food.

And as our political class argue like spoilt kids over the spoils of defeat? We need a snowy mountains scheme for the current generation, and that is an inland canal that serves shipping, allows it to completely avoid the Great Barrier Reef!?

And serves as a constantly flushed source of usable water, which will allow us to turn the arid desert heartland into a virtual garden of Eden, utilising deionisation dialysis desalination. That in recent field trials in Texas proved to be, cost-effective for broad-scale irrigation! Because it costs four times less than traditional reverse osmosis desal and much, much less again If we could use power costing just 2 cents per KwH. And that's the promise of MSR thorium. We need to transition to cooperative capitalism and include genuine tax reform as an unavoidable flat tax of just 15% to assist that transfer!

Considering the top company tax rate paid in 2017 was just 13%, with a many as one in three, not paying any tax? It's possible to collect more taxable revenue, with a much lower rate!

After that, all that remains is to kick out the current crop of absolutely visionless leaders, patently not there for we Australians and our future, but themselves and their political masters?

Anybody who still believes that's us, need their head read? If management teaches just one thing? It teaches there's always a better way!

Tell that to your grandkids, AB, when they are fighting for fresh air, clean water and arable land, on which to grow crops.
Perhaps they may know what a kangaroo or koala is by a dog eared photo taken many years prior.

Clean air, fresh water, arable land. All doable ateday, if we just add water. And then draw down atmospheric CO2 with technology that vacuums CO2 directly from seawater.

An all possible! but for brain dead, over my dead body, activists just like you! You also want, want, want? And that is a final solution to deal with overpopulation, i.e., let them starve!

No other solution is possible for you!

As for my grandkids. You clearly don't give a rat's for anybody else or any other view or solution!

On and on like a broken record.

I'll absolutely agree if you are the first volunteering casualty! And as easy as you taking a running jump from a very high place.

You'll have a nice day now y'hear.
