The West just doesn't get it. While it panders to the totally stupid, with innovations like gay marriage, porous borders and open invitations to Chinese money laundering schemes, as a base to their failing economies, strong leadership is embraced in Russia and Turkey by a willing and thankful population.

The only surprise here Alon is that the west and its spectacularly moribund, self-indulgent Leadership didn't tumble to this years ago! Instead of handing him over fifty thermonuclear weapons!

Blinded by the glare of all that gold perhaps? Or just the customary forty pieces of silver?

This is all alarmingly familiar, an Islamist threat from Turkey. Who would have predicted it after the collapse of the Ottoman Empire after WW1? I can't imagine the ramshackle EU subverting the ambitions of the new Sultan.

Personally I’d rather Russia won the power battle in the Balkans not an Islamic extremist dictator from Turkey.

But I’ve said that all along, “Extremist Islam is the enemy, not Putin’s Russia,” as the
American leftist democrats have continually gone out of their way to alienate Putin and Russia in their pursuit of Trump.

They do The American people no favours, except maybe the extremist fundamentalist
muslims residing in America.
