The EPA is another very expensive organisation that wouldn't be missed if it went out of business. The money could be used better elsewhere.

Cost-benefit analysis and comparative risk analysis need to be factored into all forward planning. Although a red team versus blue team approach can involve interminable and costly delays. We see e.g., deferred infrastructure rollout culminating in double cost low outs every decade! Moreover, some public policy decisions are often never ever subject to any of the above! Like coal-fired power versus carbon-free nuclear? But only if you factor in the cost of untrammelled carbon pollution! Or the fact that one unit of thorium is equivalent to that of one million hydrocarbon units. Or privatisation versus Soviet-style public amenity provision. Thus we can say, nobody owns the water that falls from the sky. Nor do we need armies of costly bureaucrats sitting around inventing ways to make themselves and their alleged expertise indispensable. IN TRIPLICATE. Ignoring critical facts for the sake of perceived political expediency or to serve some ideological imperative or cronyism will never ever change immutable facts? Or genuine CRA or CBA! Alan B.

There is no blue wave.
The only thing the Democrats have is a bought and paid for media.
Didn't 'Hillary has a 96% chance of winning the Presidency' not drive this fact home?

All policies and strategies should be fool-proofed, instead of idiot leaders going with the first dumb idea that springs into their heads.

Once upon a time Darren was a "scholar" at the Heartland Institute - you know the outfit that used to push the line that smoking cigarettes is in no way harmful.

The idea of doing cost benefit analyses is good, but most people are unaware of how sensitive to assumptions those analyses are. Unless all the assumptions are appropriate, there are still going to be a lot of decisions made on very shaky grounds.

ttbn,
Who do you think should do the job of protecting the environment instead?
