Paradoxically nowhere near destructive as ignorance

Yes, jealousy is a cause of ignorance. For example on topic here, there are editors critical of Facebook because it's linked to a massive readership downturn in reading dumbed down 'news' and editorial comment in print media.

Don't like Facebook, never have and refuse to use it for anything, unless there's no other choice! No redeeming features whatsoever! None! XXX Alan B.

'jealousy is a cause of ignorance.'
That's like saying water is the cause of drowning Posted by Special Delivery, Sunday, 15 April 2018 9:04:11 AM

Alan B, your ignorant opinion is not a fact. Facebook is a valuable, and affordable, marketing tool for small businesses. It also allows people to find long lost friends and keep in touch with them and others.

Ignorance and narrow-mindness go hand in hand.

Facebook is a source of new information before it is edited and heard on ABC news.
Sometimes we don't even get to hear via Western news. For example consider new and updated information about Syria, Google; sputnik news. Of course even sputnik news can be edited to suit whatever politics just as Our ABC news often is. At least Facebook allows some choice instead of listeners just being dumbed down. 'Do you have experience with that paper?'
It's undeniable that the printed side is less absorbent, along with the fact that Facebook is there for profit by invasion and not to enhance your social existence, although that's what it seemingly offers at an undefined cost Posted by Special Delivery, Sunday, 15 April 2018 2:24:06 PM

So plain instead of printed would be best. Its amazing what can be learned in a non facebook forum. Tic.
Yes the profit. Clever people have been busy and very successful. Lets hope Facebook becomes a known contributor to world peace and prosperity, achieved through improved communication generating knowledge. Posted by JF Aus, Sunday, 15 April 2018 3:11:17 PM

Your off your face JFAus, fancy saying that, let alone believing your fanciful statement, as a possible outcome from FB.

diver dan,
It would depend on intelligence of your friends or people of similar interest on Facebook. I belong to a private Facebook group of decent and intelligent civil society people. Of course if you have no friends and lack general interest in life and people then you may not like Facebook. Too much alcohol might also turn you off Facebook. This is a test post to see whether the paragrination is working in the entry fields.
Apparently some posters are experiencing problems, and I am trying to diagnose whether they are browser related. If this shows without paragraph breaks then we will know that it is a problem with Windows Edge.
However, if it shows with paragraphs, then the issue will be somewhere else. Possibly user error...who knows?

How come the Democrats went all out to blame this data leak, for influencing people to vote for trump.
It seems politically motivated. They seem incapable of understanding that they lost for legitimate concerns that people have How come they are using the American FBI to try and bring down their political opponents. Is that even legal? Posted by CHERFUL, Saturday, 21 April 2018 7:50:55 PM

King of capitalism, great God of Democracy and the eloquent overlord of equality.
Now accused as the master manipulator of democratic elections, and roundly praised at a Senate inquiry, not interested at all in the facts.
Does any of it matter?
