The article is a good summation of who is doing what about utilising blockchain, but fails to explain how it works in the economics of oil production.

Yes blockchain and the robot army it could control changes everything, And could open up the Utah oil sands to viable commercial development and in as claimed, an environmentally way, end any American dependence on foreign oil! And these same robots could work anywhere on the ocean bed anywhere putting some formerly unreachable reserves in play!?

Let OPEC shoot itself in its own economic foot, close the valves some more and ensure that day is far, far sooner and let the next oil glut begin!

With far more players, including Mexico, competing for export petro dollars!

Then there's the massive 1.8 trillion barrel Edmonton reserve only need cheap dispatchable power to heat the bottom layers of that Saudi rivaling reserve; to really destroy any chance OPEC has to continue to manipulate the market; to keep economic vandals like Russia, in it!

I mean production costs in Siberia already over $10.00 a barrel!

How will they sell any of their rubbish to the rest of the world, when the price sinks below $5.00 a barrel?

Do the sums if only to understand OPEC anti thorium activities!?

To quote a Saudi oil Minister, the stone age didn't end for a lack of stone!

Without question it's going to become harder and harder to fund new fossil fuel development However smart/technically advanced; and the electric vehicle could've replaced the oil burners inside a decade?
