How a stupid minority colludes with the stupid minority in the media to malign a community : Comments

By Fotis Kapetopoulos, published 10/6/2016

Let’s face it, these ‘terrorists’ are not Greek nationals, they are Australian young men, and at most there’s a hard core idiotic group of about twenty.

Firstly to compare a boxing day test to a soccer game is a bit silly.

70- 90 thousand people in the MSG for 6 to 8 hours is not the same as 35 thousand at a soccer game for a couple. While you will always have a small minority in any group the causes trouble, Soccer seems to get far more doesn't?

Soccer is such a silly game that it's main hook is ethnic rivalry.

I can understand why many parts of the world they play soccer, having never been exposed to AFL or even NFL of that matter, but why people would choose soccer over AFL once you see both is beyond me.

Clearly this is a minority of people who reside in Australia as you can see by the attendance of the A-League games

Hear, hear and well said Sir!

And to quote that intellectual giant of celluloid fame (shot in the buttocks) Forrest Gump, [who in all likelihood is considerably brighter on his own than the entire referenced group,] "stupid is as stupid does!"

Soccer certainly attracts violent spectators. So-called Greek-Australians should be ashamed of themselves for supporting a Greek side, or any other foreign side, against Australia. But, it is quite clear that only Australians of Anglo-Saxon background can ever be true Australians. The rest are here for personal gain; no loyalty involved.

Oh well done ttbn. Just when I thought you couldn't possibly say anything more ignorant and racist than before, you go ahead and post the above.
Charming...
It would be a pretty boring cricket game if all we ever played were your glorious white people now wouldn't it?

All the above comments and the article prove is that Rugby Union is the only sport that should be played.

The violence stays on the field in the Game played in Heaven

Ashamed over who they support in the football? It's just a game, dude. Cheering for foreigners is not what you'd call high treason.

Isn't the Golden Dawn flag an adaption of the ancient 'Greek Key' design? So perhaps Murdoch's minions were more or less correct when they described it as (LOL) an 'ancient Greek' flag.

The litmus test would be if ever we went to war with Greece in the future

Whose side would the Greeks fight on.

This is the inherent danger of multiculturalism.

Acquainted with people at the game, the issue was the danger posed by the lighting of flares.
In the crowd are many small children with an interest in the game of soccer, enlivened by their involvement in local competitions, and the playing of the game in a school environment.
It is totally unacceptable and dangerous behaviour of the small minority, which amuses itself by inflicting the dangerous practice of lighting flares at sporting venues, onto an otherwise happy and self controlled crowd of avid fans.
The practice has no relationship to racism at all. There needs be, as the author points out, some serious effort by authorities with the power, to weed out individuals concerned and confine them and their dangerous activity, to the permanent sin bin. They identify themselves as idiots, and should be relatively easy to deal with!

Yes D.D., they would be if those required to police this activity had the power to use the cosh, and against any who came to the assistance of this scum?

Other than that simply close the stadiums to all spectators for a game or two, so that the crowd will get the message, these serial pests need outing rather than blind ethnic protection.

I don't believe loss of citizenship and repatriation, would be to high a price to pay moribund miscreants who don't respect us, our laws and personal freedoms. Personally I don't see it as simple larrikinism when anything other than the odd humorous insult (leave our flamin flies alone Mr Jardine) is hurled.

Idealy these moronic mongrels would wake up with very sore heads, bivouacked very far from home and forced to march on a character building six month survival course, which they would need to complete in full in order to not repeat it and allowed to return home? Where any repeat performance could result in their permanent exile? At least that would be he implied threat pertaining to a similar repeat performance?

THese folk are a genuine waste of space and are totally alien to the accepted social norms, and given my druthers these intellectually challenged juvenile delinquents would be shown the exit sign at an international airport; and never ever invited to return!

Multiculturalism is the biggest failure among the experiments carried out by treacherous Western politicians. Rather than suicidal mass immigration, we should now be practising mass deportation of people who will clearly never be Australians.

Some of the comments posted about this article don't make sense. The article did not focus in anyway on whether soccer, cricket or other football sports was the better sport. It simply highlighted inappropriate action on the part of Greek-Australian fans, at the Australia-Greek friendly Soccer Match, who caused a lot of problem, and various media that blew it out of proportion. Why people have to troll a perfectly reasonable opinion is beyond me. People can disagree with what the author wrote, but in an explanatory and informed manner.
Besides which, anyone knowing anything about Greeks and Greek politics understands how Golden Dawn, and those supporting this far-right political party, are dangerous at worst and idiots at best. So, I am going to be trolled also by people who have nothing better to do?
