What is going on in Australian schooling? : Comments

By Phil Cullen, published 11/2/2016

When the Australian education system was hoodwinked into copying the New York testing-based system in 2008, it did not know what it was letting itself in for.

Phil Cullen's suggestion that the Australian education system "... did not know what it was letting itself in for ..." in adopting a NY style testing system in 2008 is not credible. RAND, amongst others, have been pointing out problems with such tests for at least a decade and their reports are freely available on-line: https://www.google.com.au/search?q=site:rand.org+%22New+York%22+schools+testing

Well put, Phil. I doubt any parent would tolerate in their workplace today conditions that children are asked to accept in schools. So - who is watching the watchers?

What Teachers really hate about testing is that there is a verifiable result that can be pointed to preventing an unfettered abuse of power (children).

1) Female primary teacher dislikes disruptive students (code for boys) well give them poor holistic marks.
2) You question a Warmist evangelist in Science class, well surprise, surprise, your results falter.
3) Remark how WW2 was started by Hitler AND Stalin in their partitioning of Poland and that Stalin really trusted his partner and was surprised by an invasion; smack, right in the kisser.
