A sweet deal for the mullahs : Comments

By Gary Gambill, published 16/5/2014

Be afraid of the looming Iran nuclear deal. Be very afraid.

The only fear we should all have is that the looming Iran nuclear deal will not go ahead. It's high time to bring Iran in from the cold, to welcome her into the community of nations on an equal footing without the burden of crippling sanctions.
We have been led around by the nose long enough. Gareth Porter has recently released 'Manufactured Crisis - The Untold Story of the Iran Nuclear Scare'. The author of this article would do well to read it.

I agree with Halduell. Gareth Porter's book is essential reading for anyone seriously interested in a proper discussion of Iran's so-called 'nuclear program'.

Iran is a signatory to the NPT. No independent observer is able to point to a single violation of Iran's obligations under that treaty.

Israel on the other hand, whom the author conspicuously fails to mention, is not a signatory; has a large (400+) stockpile of nuclear weapons; refuses to allow international inspections; is regularly and systematically in breach of UN resolutions; engages in sabotage and murder against citizens of its neighbouring countries; and is without question the greatest threat to peace in the region.

Why does the author not focus on real threats rather than the conjured up fantasies of the AIPAC lobby and their acolytes?

Gambill has been a dedicated supporter of Israel, and until he can demolish the arguments of Porter, his piece must be regarded as propaganda.
[Porter's Manufactured Crisis, on the basis of solid evidence, including interviews with Iranian and former IAEA officials, reveals how the IAEA has been manipulated to put out reports suggesting that Iran had a covert weapons program-- based overwhelmingly on documents that originated in Israel. It also documents the fact that U.S. intelligence on the Iranian nuclear program has been systematically distorted by political hostility toward Iran as well as by the structure of CIA assessments on the subject.

Iran is secretly assembling an arsenal of nuclear weapons?
She sees an opportunity to strike first and wipe out her only real enemy in the Middle East, Israel?
Israel, however, has a number of early warning detection systems that retaliate, with their 400+ nuclear weapons, many which successfully evade Iran's missile defenses?
Both nations wipe each other out and most of their near neighbors?
End of conflict and problems!
A secret American pre-planned scenario, sends some oil drilling subs to the area, and drills laterally into the massive oil reserves?
The Russians try to do the same but are somehow lost without trace?
America, everybody's friend, offers to help recover the lost nuclear subs, and eventually succeeds?
The later scientific investigation reveals an internal nuclear accident resulting in meltdowns in all three cases, due to the extreme radiation effects on the subs' nuclear reactors, which unfortunately had just wandered into the wrong area?
America, everybody's real friend, offers to supply Russian industry with cheap middle eastern oil, and fortunately for a rescued Russian economy, at a lower price than they can recover their own?
International crisis averted, and all Waring factions in the Middle East eliminated, along with the essential funding they used to supply to some terrorist organisations!
Leaving them no other choice but to resort to criminal activities, drug dealing, slavery and prostitution to fund their dark operations!
Internal dissent, divides and divides these organisations, as poverty and religious conviction, creates enemies of former friends, and the conflict continues until only one really big warlord remains?
The West responds by legislating and legalizing most drugs of choice and all regulated prostitution?
All but eliminating the cash flow of the only remaining terrorist organisation?
The results, more internal division as impoverished psychopaths fight each other for the spoils of defeat?
Something that continues for a couple of centuries as the world moves on, and starts a race to distant stars?
Eventually leaving a dying war torn planet, to the self defeating, eternally warring factions?
Rhrosty.

the left and Islam are very comfortable with each other at the moment. They have always lived in self deception.

The USA has 900 military bases in 153 countries.40 alone surround Iran. How can they be a threat to anyone with no nukes? Get real, it is all about stealing Iran's oil just like Iraq and getting Iran's banks under our debt slavery.

Israel has at least 200+ nukes and stone cold silence is the reply

Heard of the St. Louis Cardinals?

Well, if this thread was about baseball (and not just base comments) it might be called the Tehran Mullahs. And the line up would be James O'Neill as pitcher, 2 halduel as catcher, 3 Arjay as first baseman, 4 Leslie second baseman and the rest of the team would still at Friday prayers.

The best that SPQR is ad hominem. Where's your logical rebuttal?
