By Naser Ghobadzadeh and Omid Tofighian, published 26/2/2013

Argo does not employ what may be termed a conventional and predictable Hollywood plot.

The following sociology speak had me worried:

"It is significant to note that, like the application of the frame narrative in other instances, the historical and political contextualisation of the film in the opening scene forms a particular perception of the circumstances in the viewer that challenges the dichotomies often repeated in political rhetoric and popular culture..."

However in the end the article turns out to be objective, impartial, and free from popery.

I don't wish to be unkind, for the authors seem to be not very practised in speaking English. But is there a clear English translation available?

Hi Bronte

Truth to tell - in some native English speaking circles of academia such language is treated as acceptable and standard.

The authors failed to mention that the film was a typical Hollywood fantasy romanticizing America for something someone else did.
As Jimmy Carter recently stated the hostage escape was 90% Canadian.
The CIA Involvement was only minor about 10%

Much like the hundreds of films showing America winning the second world war not acknowledging that Russia ,Britain and many other countries were major contributors.
