The primary lesson is that Australia could again become involved in serious warfare on a tenuous line of authority.

Divorce in haste, regret at leisure. So our major trading partner of Communist China would just let us raise the price of iron ore and coal again (maybe paying for the the GillRudd spending) when all they have to do is Lean a little, you know, a Naval exercise off WA with "safety" exclusion zones, some slow payments and maybe a WTO complaint about Monopsony powers?

Love your idea, did you also assist with the development of the taxless tax being discussed in the papers?
