The most consequential war of our time may still hold some nasty surprises for those who believed Dayton solved everything in 1995.

Bosnia comes across as the only statelet to emerge from the breakup of Yugoslavia that isn't an ethnocracy. For that reason it alone in the entire imbroglio deserved, and still deserves, international support.

Let's see if I've got this right:

Intervention in Iraq was all wrong.

Lack of intervention in Bosnia was all wrong.

And we know this because we've got perfect hindsight.

Yep, I think I've got it. Hand-wringing piffle. I hope his book is an utter failure.
