By Tim Napper, published 18/12/2012

For a while a Southern Cross tattoo seemed to be a mistake, but it could be redeemed.

I wanted to see more on the multicultural aspect of Eureka (nearly all of those charged with treason in relation to the uprising were born overseas, including an African-American). But interesting review nonetheless. I've always found Eureka somewhat stale in its re-telling, and if this book breathes new life, then maybe it is worth a look.

p.s. Your comment on the Swiss is gold.

"this growing desire for representation on the part of the diggers inevitably came into conflict with the authorities of the day."

Kinda like the White Australians of today, ignored or vilified by the politicians and media, who support an inevitable eradication of Australians and their culture through immigration, then make it *illegal* to dissent, through "discrimination" or "vilification" directed at alien peoples or cultures.

Cronulla is quite in keeping with the Eureka spirit.
It is the "brown people" who were, for years, violating the fundamental Australian spirit, by harassing people on the beach, even assaulting lifesavers!

Cronulla was a "short, sharp shock" destined to happen sooner or later. So was Hanson.
Expect more and more short, sharp shocks in the future, as our leaders continue with their genocidal agenda.

"those who make peaceful change impossible make violent change inevitable."

Indeed.
