Tensions are high in the East China Sea, but they were not always so.

Less than a generation the later the Japanese invaded China devastating large areas of the country and massacring Chinese civilians, perhaps there are other reasons for the current tensions than fishermen and desolate islands.

And a bit before the Chinese were kept at bay by a kamikaze (divine wind). Agro Chinese have been expected for decades when they have the money, its their Politics, I know of a brief in the mid 80's.
