A further injection of realpolitik to the international community's response to the Syrian situation is required.

Rhrosty, although I commend your statements, at what point did the Assad regime become murderous and deserve the vilification that the U.S., Saud regime, IMF, UN and their minions become worthy of the interest the 'West' now deems appropriate toward regime change in this independent country?

You need to look at the larger geo-political picture to understand the real politk here.

Unfortunately PAX Amerikana is at work, and to what end and by what means?

We, the unfortunate blinkered blind MSM fed minions do not ever see the real story on the ground.

May I suggest you consider viewing non-main-stream media authorities that can provide a more balanced and un-biased view of what is really occurring in this country.

I have no doubt Assad is taking advantage where he can, but one must wonder at the true motive of so many other countries, agencies and their supporters to really grasp the reality of what is actually going on at the coal face.

Energy, its inclusive and persuasive political hegemony, is but one reason to doubt the real process underway to effect a regime change in this country.

Assad may be a bastard, his people oppressed, but to what end do we, as so-called civilized people living in a so-called civilized world, accept the blatant violation of so many global treaties, resolutions etc, to achieve a deserved political and social-national change within a nation that we, as westerners, barely understand?

Geoff, he may be a Bastard but he's your bastard, ehh? Sorry, a no-fly and even just RPGs are a good idea, even things up a bit and also provide cover for honest troops to dump that murderer.
Oil for Blood is so passée, the West has enough hydrocarbons and Saudi / Cheves know it. Raise the (real) cost and latent sources will become active.

Yes it is again filthy war mongering. The truth is that the West has snipers etc in Syria killing civilians causing chaos and blaming it all on Assad.Syria has a close relationship with Iran, guess what? There are new discoveries of oil off the coasts of Syria and Lebanon.

When NATO invaded Libya 30,000 Chinese oil workers were forced to leave. The West got the oil, gold and infected Libya with their debt based money creation system.

The Western Oligarch's New World Order is failing and they are resorting to war as a means to achieve it.
