After pointing out that Australia hardly has any trade with Iran the author's claim that Australia's action will hurt the Iranian people seems contradictory.

Also how will the Iranian people be hurt if (as the author points out) India and China cancel out international oil sanctions by buying up Iran's usual oil output?

Looks like Baudo just can't wait for the Iranians to get the Bomb and give it to HAMAS or the Muslim Brotherhood. If the free world tries to prevent that by imposing sanctions on Iran, Baudo here will dream up some implausable nonsence to counter that.

Could be all here-say Arjay. Israel may like the notion of having the bomb. The big danger with Iran has to be its supreme leader is a religious fanatic, without tolerance for israel, or others that do not practice their brand of religion. What they do inside Iran is despicable. With 600 executions last year, this regime is not for this world.

Oh, hallo Arjay. I thought that you wern't speaking to me?

We don't have to do anything about Israel's nukes, because I really can't see the Israelis giving the damned things to terrorists. They are purely defensive, and the last line of defence of Israel.

And yes, they were almost used once before. When the Arabs tried to destroy Israel in 1973, and with the Israelis confronted by their collapsing front lines, they began powering up their nuclear armed "Jericho" MRBM's. This activity was spotted by the satellties owned by the Americans (that you hate so much) and the information was relayed to President Nixon.

Nixon got on the "hot line" to Brezhnev, and he asked Brezhnev to warn the Israelis that this was not on. Brezhnev contacted the Israelis, and he promised a nuclear strike by Soviet forces on Israel. Meanwhile, the Americans that you hate so much told the Israelis that they would not interfere to protect the Israelis in the event of a Soviet nuclear strike.

In other words, put the damned things back in their cages.

Whether or not a nuclear war almost happened in 1973, is something that can be left to the opinions of historians. Because fortunately for the Israelis and the Arabs, the israelis, through the most heroic endeavors and good training, turned back the Arab assault, so the nuclear weapons did not need to be used.

But the threat to the Arabs is still there and it was underlined by the events of 1973. Leave us Israelis alone. If you try to exterminate us, we will take you with us. This attitude is different from the Arab point of view, which is to use nuclear weapons offensively, even religiously, not defensively.

Until the Mullahs of Iran can prove beyond any shadow of a doubt that they will treat their people with the kindness and charity as Israel, the US and Australia forefathers treated their native populations and allow US type free fair elections with unlimited donations from US corporations and freedom for the Murdoch News Group, the assassinations, blowing up of military bases, drone overflights, threats and economic warfare will continue. Iran needs to remember what happened to Grenada, East Timor, Panama, Nicaragua,Vietnam, Gaza and Iraq when they threatened world peace. The peaceful countries, that have always strictly observed the spirit and letter of international law of the world, must unite and stop any possibility that Iran's continued, endless threats to Pax America be fulfilled.
