Even if you give the Taliban dog a bone it will still want your arm.

The Author fails to understand that the Taliban movement is no longer an all Pakhtoon movement, there are folks from the other ethnic groups who have joined to fight against the Afghan government and its backers. There are even groups emerging in Parwan, Jawzjan , Balkh provinces which were historically anti Taliban regions.
Furthermore those who oppose the peace process need to understand that Taliban are part of the fabric of the Afghan society, the current setup has excluded the majority Pakhtoons from the establishment, their homes and households are destroyed entire villages flattened, what do you expect from them to sit on their backs and not resist ?
Amrullah Saleh and the likes of him need to understand that Talibans have no love for Pakistan, they are victims of the current circumstances, they have no alternative but to work with the Pakistani establishment for the sake of their own existence.
Furthermore these individuals who are now sitting in the power corridors of the Afghan government were responsible for thousands of deaths in the 1990s and was precisely the reason for the birth of the Taliban who were tired of these thugs killing and raping Afghans. For instance we have Mr Fahim, Mr Dostam, Mr Sayaf and Rabbani and most importantly the so called national hero Mr AhmadShah Massod who were primarily responsible for the destruction of Kabul
Of course the Taliban are no angels by any mean but the likes of You and Amrullah Saleh need to stop playing the Non-Pakhtoon card. Afghans either Pakhtoons or non Pakhtoons have lived side by side and defended this country for thousands of years and there is no need for you to teach us.

Peace

Sir, furthermore don't you think its deceptive of you and the likes of you to malign the very same government that you have worked for the last 10 years, used its resources to enrich yourselves, are now abroad in various countries sitting behind the keyboard and talk of peace and accountability ? What have done precisely to bring peace to this trouble land ? and now when you are outside the government you are again playing the ethnic card.
I see everyday the young kids of individuals like you who drive expensive cars, drink alcohol and tease women on the streets of Kabul. But you know what they say as you sow so shall reap, your children and grandchildren will pay for your misdeeds they have grown up knowing nothing, lived a life of being slackers and will be individuals which society has no use for in the future.
