A big welcome to OLO Alan Hart.Very few have the courage to speak the truth. The Zionists have stolen the agenda and most Jews are horrified by their actions but feel powerless to act.

This is more important than the egos of a few psychopaths. If they continue to pursue their agenda of attacking Iran on the false pretense of it developing a single nuclear weapon, then all hell will break loose globally, both economically and militarily.

The footnote at the conclusion of Alan’s article says it all.
“..........Obama putting America's own interest first at crunch time are very, very remote, to say the least”
I imagine that in the life of an eminent journalist like Mr. Hart, having seen it all, as he has over time, the one thing remaining is optimism, reality in this case being reflected in his footnote.

It is now well-supported opinion that the selection of Obama as the likely Democratic candidate was based on the factors of ethnicity, compliance to the dictates of the Zionists in Israel but predominantly, his polished, but as it turned out, insincere rhetoric and apparent sincerity. Time has proven this to be the case as evidenced by his ability to do nothing to expand the justice of the Palestinian cause or legislate for fifth column organisations like AIPAC to register as a foreign lobby, thereby eliminating their ability to use bribery, threats and largesse to control the politicians and to legislate in the corrupt Congress for a vote of loyalty to the USA.....only.

None of these things happened as the anticipation of a decent man at last taking the keys to the White House soon faded as he embarked on his successful ‘do-nothing’ campaign with the exception of continuing the wars, ‘don’t ask-don’t tell’ for military gays, tax breaks for the wealthy and a health plan soon to be emasculated by the new Republican-controlled Congress.

Such badly needed reforms were never on Obama’s agenda. Nor is a veto in the UN for Palestine justice, an action which is now enjoying support from the majority of countries and in which the US vote would clearly indicate support for those nations who have witnessed 50 years of home demolitions, murder, mayhem, land seizures and theft of property, inhumane ethnic cleansing and apartheid.
Is any country since WWII as evil in their actions against another people as is the pariah state of Israel, themselves once the recipients of such treatment? They have learned well.

The result of a veto by Obama would assuredly end with another Kennedy-like assassination

It seems that many now see the USA retreating to it borders like the USSR in 1990 because of economic necessity.Khalil Nouri reveals that Hamid Karazi is making overtures to Russia as they expect the USA to pull out of Afghanistan.

Robert Baer ex-CIA was expressing these sentiments last Sept.Baer saw the danger in the Middle East of Israel attacking Iran in the light of the departure of the USA.Now Israel would have to use Nukes since even Lebanon defeated them in last conflict.Iran has the capacity to shut down the Gulf of Hormuz and a large % of oil to the West.China and Russia have defence pact with Iran.Iran supplies China with 10% of its oil.The Zionists in Israel need a reality check.Iran is of no threat and Israel has at least 200 nukes and the means to deliver them.(Robert Baer is on youtube some years ago saying Iran is of no threat.)

Sadly we just see the same old, failed foreign policies from the current US Administration as from past Administrations. The social media facilitated up-risings by restive populations in the middle east could be the game changer. How will the US respond? Back their corrupt and brutal, trustworthy allies or support unknown democratic movements that are fed -up with the US's role in Palestine's West Bank and Gaza? Time will tell.

Arjay,

Good to see your writings again.

Yes, Robert Baer is indeed a credible person and knowledgeable. However, I need to put to one side the fact that he was CIA as was Philip Giraldi, both I trust were not involved in the perfidy that was Laos and Cambodia.

He writes extensively as you know and is well read in the US. However, that shouldn't be seen as any indication that the current Zionist regime of Obama, Biden and Clinton would listen to a word he says if it is in any way contrary to the dictates of AIPAC, which as we all know is clearly to bomb Iran out of existence.

The Israelis are already fomenting trouble, their trademark, in Pakistan and India and would be somewhat concerned as to the instability emerging in Egypt, following the 'coup' in Tunisia. Many of these countries could join the trend to more freedoms including some of the fiefdoms with the oil and treaties with the US.

Interesting times ahead. However, such instability would be fertile ground for the Mossad and their false flag activities.

It is clearly a great pleasure to see the support from the majority of countries in the UN for the Palestine action and as it will not be a vote on Japanese whaling, the easily corruptible third world countries will not be paid off, I hope. However, as it is against the hated Israel, the US with the big veto are already paid for, even against the optimistic writings of Alan and the hopes of the rational, peace loving and fair-minded countries, all but a few

Gillard’s vote will be for the Zionists from whom she takes her orders in Melbourne. Sadly and because of our ridiculous system of government, Australia’s vote will not reflect the 80% of support for the people for Palestine. This is, of course, the main reason for the enclaves of Israelis, under various names, located in Melbourne.

She will pay the price of even more disdain from fair-minded Australians to whom apartheid and murder is abhorrent.

Very interesting. Some of the pro-Israel propaganda sites are becoming almost hysterically anti-Obama, perhaps that's an encouraging sign. How Israel, that small predatory, chauvinist nation in the ME could command US support is simply incomprehensible. Since the regime has no intention of engaging in genuine peace negotiations until the Zionist project is complete, only America can save the Palestinians.

Economic historian Niall Ferguson predicts a sudden political economic and strategic collapse for the USA if it continues with its current economic policies.

Obama will 'do' or at least 'say' as his highly analytical and expensive 'market research' will dicate.

Dick Morris did this for Clinton and the things these bods say often seems to be very unexpected considering their underlying ideology.

That's where you see the focus group/market research influence on the speech writers.

It should be remembered that when Capitalism faced the crisis of consumer individuality, they hired the top marketing firms to FIND out what was going on, and this included SRI international, which was also employed for research on the Star Wars project.

Not exactly lightweight.

Without looking very hard I found this where the United States of America abstained from voting on this prime example of human misery inflicted on one state by another. This was only one resolution in many vetoed by the USA on this subject. No wonder The United States of America is slipping down the slope.

United Nations Security Council Resolution 1544, adopted on May 19, 2004,
The Security Council reiterated that Israel, as the occupying power, to abide by its legal obligations under the Fourth Geneva Convention, while it was called upon to address its security needs according to international law. It expressed its concern at the deterioration of the situation in the Israeli-occupied territories since 1967 and condemnation of the killing of a Palestinian in the Rafah area.
The Council called on Israel to respect its obligations under international humanitarian law and end the demolition of homes in violation of that law. There was concern at the humanitarian situation of Palestinians made homeless in the Rafah area and emergency assistance was required. Both parties were called upon to end violence, respect legal obligations and immediately implement their obligations under the road map.
The United States abstained from voting.

The sad point is that Obama would veto the Lebanese resolution even if Netanyahu pleaded him not to, which I'm sure he secretly did!

Being an American, Obama cares about American interests, not about Israel and its security. If he ever truly cared about the welfare of Israelis, he would help Israel AND its government (which for obvious reasons is unable to state so openly) to stand against the violent settlers who threaten their very survival.

Arjay,

I don't know why the Americans do it - but certainly not FOR Israel. Perhaps it is for the American-Jewish lobby, perhaps for the bunch of Jewish Americans that sit in Hebron and are the worst of Jewish-settler provocators, perhaps they are held for ransom by some billionaires, perhaps some other top-secret that neither you nor I are aware of (who knows, perhaps we will find in 100 years that it was part of a secret deal with China...). Helping the Israeli extremists to force themselves on the Israeli people and government to keep holding those cursed territories is acting AGAINST Israel, not for it.

As for the Palestinians, if they wanted a free state (which many of them do not: Hamas for example demands a single Muslim state throughout the Middle-East) with full rights, they could have it long ago. All it would take is to cease terrorism and their stupid statements and attempts to destroy Israel and throw its inhabitants to the sea. Their problem is that they chose the violent path - if only they could learn from Gandhi...

I often wonder when I read the bile that some people post in Online on the subject of Israel, whether they realise that Israel is less that a third of the size of Tasmania, has a population of less than six million and is the only Middle Eastern state which has a democratic government, an independent judiciary and allows freedom of speech etc?

Arjay noone is stopping Middle Eastern countries from developing effective forms of government. We see the lack of suitable models right now as evidenced by Egypt. Even you couldn't support an argument that the USA and or Israel have hampered development of effective governance in Egypt. Note in particular how the ruling families are fleeing with their billions of dollars while a large per centage of the population lives in poverty. But I suppose that's all the fault of the Israelis, too.
