Can we just accept the safest option is the best or is fighting fire with fire what is needed?

What is amazing is that various prevention of bush fire is not being reported or mentioned, such as not to throw cigarette butts out of cars.

While driving at long distances at night I sometimes see showers of sparks swirling behind a car after a lighted butt comes out a window. It usually happens following pub closing time.

I totally amazes me why I have not heard a cigarette butt bush fire warning for at least 10 years, and that it appears a whole generation of youth has little or no knowledge of how easy it is for a butt to start a bushfire.

Maybe cigarette companies have media under control to keep government tobacco revenue ongoing. Evenb the ABC is silent on the issue. Must be a motive for the silence.
