By Brendon O'Connor, published 5/3/2010

From the founding of the nation through to the latest Hollywood film, Americans have been excellent myth makers.

Brendon O"Connor obviously has become so immersed in the the study of American myth-making, that he has become afflicted with the condition. As a committed campaigner for anthropogenic global warming (AGW) (see his article of 16 Nov. 2009) he has failed to discern that it is the greatest myth of the late 20th and early 21st centuries. Should he wish to prove his credibility, let him research the subject and publish any irrefutable scientific evidence of AGW that he finds.

And Raycom is so thick and dumb he believes everything the Right roll up and feed him, this was about the mad right in the US.
The Right you apparently support, the right of FOX NEWS and crazy murders like the bloke who blew up the Federal building ect,the Birthers,The KKK,the mad Gun culture, the Tea Party fools,Glen Beck, and you rattle on about Climate change.
So you don't believe in Climate change well if its true I hope you are around when it takes place they you can explain it to you grand kids, but what that has to do with the stupidity of the right in the US I don't know, and those who unquestionably follow them

Raycom

What a silly post. It is a totally fallacious argument to try to connect stories attitudes in this way. It would be like me saying that since you are a GW sceptic you must be the founding member of the Australian branch of the Oath Keepers.
I hope that if you continue add post to this issue that have at least some resemblance of connectedness to the article.

Brendon O'Connor is trying to downplay the trauma the US is suffering today. It could errupt ito civil war.

The Oath Keepers want the law officials to swear allegiance to the constitution and also for members of the armed services not to shoot their own citizens.

O'Connor has also failed to mention Obama's serious short comings. He failed to repeal the patriot act which gives the president power to suspend the constitution and declare martial law.Obama still retains Bush's powers of signing orders that are independant of Congress.Obama recently floated the idea of assassinating illegal combatants.Obama wants to nullify habeas corpus and be able to gaol people on the mere suspicion of being a terrorist.Where is the democracy?

Obama is just like Bush, just another puppet of the oligarchs connected to Wall St,Fed Res and London.

What I find funny about most of these right wing nuts in the US who go on about following the constitution, is the fact that most have not actually read the US constitution. Many of them get the declaration of independence mixed up into what they think the Constitution actually says. It not unexpected though given the far rights aversion to book learn’in.

Cornonacob is playing the old game of left V's right. The US constitution is an great document but Bush & Obama have dismantled it.Address the realities of the patriot act,and the loss of democracy.
